Our Programs

At Deer Lakes Nursery School, we offer two thoughtfully designed preschool programs that meet children where they are developmentally, whether they’re just beginning their preschool journey or preparing for kindergarten.

Caterpillars

Our Caterpillars Class, also known as our Beginners Class, is thoughtfully designed for 3 year olds who are just beginning their preschool journey. In this loving and gentle environment, children learn to navigate routines, build friendships, and explore the world around them through imaginative play, art, music, and early learning activites.

With a strong focus on social development and independence, our Caterpillars gain confidence, discover joy in learning, and begin to grow into the little learners they’re meant to be.

Butterflies

Our Butterflies Class, also known as our Pre-Kindergarten Class, is designed for 4 and early 5 year olds who are preparing for kindergarten and ready to spread their wings. With a balance of structured learning and play-based exploration, children build on foundational skills while developing confidence, independence, and curiosity.

From early literacy and math concepts to hands-on discovery, music, and group activites, our Butterflies are gently guided to grow socially, emotionally, and academically – all in a space where they feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
